I spent 20+ years as a patient within the MDVIP concierge program in the US. Given that I lived in Boston, one of the best cities in the world for healthcare, I had a very high bar against which to compare. It turns out that TejoMed has tapped into MDVIP's expertise as well with one of their advisors. To date, I have found the staff to be extremely professional, friendly, and responsive, and I am very pleased with Dr. Ares Hiawatha Rigas.

Dr. Luisa is, hands down, the most knowledgeable, personable, and compassionate medical professional I've ever had the distinct honor of meeting and seeking care from. I am, admittedly, an American and cancer survivor who has had to 'prove' medical needs to my doctors, often with months and years passing before finding someone who would listen, and even then, with no explanation for the why behind the treatment plans they would recommend. I'm so glad I found her; as long as she offers care, I'll be seeing her!

As part of the initial consultation - I had a personalized, in-depth session with Dr. Ares that far exceeded my expectations. The consultation was holistic and thorough — nearly two hours with no time pressure — during which Dr. Ares listened carefully to every part of my medical history and gave thoughtful, tailored recommendations. We discussed immediate focus areas and a clear prevention-focused program to address future risks.

After the appointment I received a comprehensive follow-up email summarizing the consultation, my medical history, the topics covered, and a detailed plan of actions, scans, and tests scheduled for the coming weeks and months.

The clinic uses a smart technology app to manage appointments, documents, and communications, which made everything streamlined and easy. The facilities are excellent and conveniently located.

I’ve never had such a tailored approach to healthcare — highly recommend.

TejoMed and Dr. Batista are all I could have hoped for in transitioning to Portugal from the U.S. for my medical care. Yesterday I had my first in-person appointment with Dr. Luísa Batista. I read a lot about health, and I'm usually the one bringing up newer research or approaches. For the first time, I had someone on the other side who could beat that conversation and bring deep clinical expertise I simply don't have.

She also cared about the person sitting in front of her. That combination is rare. I think TejoMed is rewiring my brain about what healthcare should feel like.

Having access to a doctor was the most important reason I joined TejoMed. Being able to communicate with the doctor without making an appointment has been fantastic. I have never had a more positive experience with a doctor than i had with Dr Luisa. She was supportive about each topic i wanted to discuss. I left the initial intake appt with a list of action items and were able to get medications the same day.

Great first session - have you ever spent 75min with a doctor who is turning every stone of your medical history with you? That makes me so happy, because I didn't feel heard about my health for 15+ years and I feel we're actually looking into things beyond just "a blood sample". Thank you, Luísa!

Dr. Batista is amazing and thorough. She is knowledgeable and up to date on all the latest information while being super easy to talk to.

As someone who wants to optimize their health and lifespan this is exactly what I needed.

I am so glad that TejoMed exists. I don't have to try to navigate a byzantine system. This saves so much time and headache. I can just contact my doctor if I have an issue.

TBH I kind of feel bad for you that you are reading this review instead of enjoying this amazing service.

Also, the price was way lower than I thought it was! Once I found out what it cost, it was a no brainer.

I struggle with medical appointments and taking care of myself correctly because of ADHD. As such, I decide to try out a concierge health service so that I could get better support for my needs. Since the beginning I have been very well cared for and I have felt totally welcomed by everyone in the team. Every step of the way I have felt that is tailored exactly for me. Dra. Luísa is super nice and I felt very comfortable speaking to her openly abiut my worries and my goals. I one hundred percent recommend, because in health, each of our needs are unique.

My first appointment with TejoMed was such an amazing experience!! Luísa was so thorough. It made such a huge difference to be listened to, believed, taken seriously, and provided comprehensive solutions. Wonderful experience! I've had personal functional health doctors in the United States and TejoMed seems to equal or exceed my previous experiences at a fraction of the price. So nice to have a one-stop shop for all of my health needs. Navigating a medical system in Portuguese isn't always easy...this makes it easy.

Hands down the best doctor I’ve seen! Dra Luísa is kind, careful, thoughtful and up to date on the most recent research. After trying 10+ other doctors, she’s the only one who took the time to discuss each of my questions carefully and reviewed my prior labs pointing out things that other doctors had missed and recommending a very detailed and thoughtful follow up plan. She truly has a functional medicine / preventative health approach which I haven’t been able to find anywhere else in Lisbon. And within minutes of our 90 minute appointment, she had uploaded detailed notes about everything we discussed into a very easy to use app. I feel so grateful to have found TejoMed and Dra Luísa!
