As part of the initial consultation - I had a personalized, in-depth session with Dr. Ares that far exceeded my expectations. The consultation was holistic and thorough nearly two hours with no time pressure during which Dr. Ares listened carefully to every part of my medical history and gave thoughtful, tailored recommendations. We discussed immediate focus areas and a clear prevention-focused program to address future risks.

After the appointment I received a comprehensive follow-up email summarizing the consultation, my medical history, the topics covered, and a detailed plan of actions, scans, and tests scheduled for the coming weeks and months.

The clinic uses a smart technology app to manage appointments, documents, and communications, which made everything streamlined and easy. The facilities are excellent and conveniently located.

First, I appreciated all the preparation that goes into receiving me into my first appointment. Nurse Joana met with me weeks before and did a lovely job welcoming me and walking me through any and all questions I could before I even asked. She is warm, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable.

When I arrived to the TejoMed office for my first appointment with Dra. Luísa, Jo was the kind lady who welcomed me, helped me feel very comfortable as she took me through some initial measurements.

Then I had a very long and thorough appointment with Dra. Luísa. She also was warm, friendly, and welcoming. She did well in educating me and discussing my lab results and she not only did that she also listened and was great at answering questions. My memory these days is fleeting, I'm learning perimenopause, and I appreciate that she's got a structure for helping me feel well looked after and cared for as I take her suggested route toward wellness and optimal health. She provided me with summarized notes so that I don't feel overwhelmed and in a panic trying to hold it all in and it's also comforting that I can contact the office for questions and support. Dra. Lúisa and her team seem confident that I can get back to myself soon, which I am very much looking forward to. I very much appreciate the way they work and in this particular phase of life it all feels very supportive and right on!

Just had my first consult today. Was looking for an in-depth assessment of my health, and seems like we’re on the way! Also loved that doctor was open to both pharmaceutical and herbal medicine, and that she was open to go beyond superficial testing!

Love the time, attention and action steps I got from Dr. Batista at TejoMed. She had diligently gone through all of my diverse lab results, understood my overall health goals and main health issues to address. She asked very pertinent questions to understand the life context that influences my health. Met with Dr Ares for a health review and consultation. He was considerate and spent plenty of time with me to get a sense of my health, concerns, and issues. He was approachable, kind, thoughtful, and listened to my issues. He provided some recommendations and tests to help get to root causes. I felt that the time spent was generous and that the approach was more holistic than many other doctors I have had.

Amazing service, exactly what we've been looking for in terms of much more advanced pre-screening and testing and really optimising our health rather than just dealing with sickness. Dr Luisa is really friendly, easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgeable! Light years ahead of normal private medicine!!

Hands down the best doctor I’ve seen! Dra Luísa is kind, careful, thoughtful and up to date on the most recent research. After trying 10+ other doctors, she’s the only one who took the time to discuss each of my questions carefully and reviewed my prior labs pointing out things that other doctors had missed and recommending a very detailed and thoughtful follow up plan. She truly has a functional medicine / preventative health approach which I haven’t been able to find anywhere else in Lisbon. And within minutes of our 90 minute appointment, she had uploaded detailed notes about everything we discussed into a very easy to use app. I feel so grateful to have found TejoMed and Dra Luísa!
